This issue originally was planned as a one-shot to be released in May 1984 by Pacific according to a news item in Amazing Heroes (Fantagraphics, 1981 Series) #44. After Pacific shuttered its color comics line later that summer, this was one of several project that moved to Eclipse, as detailed in Surge (Eclipse, 1984 Series) #3. The issue gives "special thanks to Steve and Bill Schanes of Pacific Comics for their help and cooperation."
