Un-named retiring school Dean; Professor (later Dean) Alfred LeMonet (villain, death)
At the Hampshire Surgeon School, Professor LeMonet is told that attendance in his classes must increase if he is to remain as a teacher there, so he digs up cadavers for use in his anatomy classes, and enrollment suddenly blossoms, to the Dean's delight. LaMonet decides to kill his competition to get the Dean's job, then sees an opportunity to become Governor as well. LeMonte hires men to go out and kill people along the waterfront area, and bring their cadavers to the school to impress the royal surgeon, but the men make a grievous error, for LeMonte's body is among the other corpses!

A woman hates her husband so she gives him small doses of arsenic trying to work up her nerve to finish him off, but all she succeeds in doing is allowing him to develop a tolerance to the stuff. When he overhears her plot to leave him in a sack for her lover to bury in a dug-up grave, he poisons her instead and puts her in the sack so that the lover buries her not quite dead. Then, he kills the lover with an ax.

At a two-bit carnival patrons pay 10 cents to see Zobo the man who stays buried under six feet of earth for 8 hours, able to accomplish it due to shallow breathing. His girl Rita digs him up, then off she goes to see her lover, Paul. Sam is mad when he finds out, but Rita convinces him that the love bit is a sham to drain the guy of his money. Rita convinces Sam to do his burial routine as a part of the plot, but really planning on keeping Sam buried for all time. When Sam catches wind of this, he plans his own surprise for Rita.....a plan that backfires big time.

She agrees to the wedding, but on the blessed day, he dies from embalming fluid poisoning contracted from the suit.

After the death of his mother, young Stanley is placed in the care of his uncle Ezra, the town undertaker. Soon, Stanley discovers that his uncle takes jewelry and other valuables from the corpses before burial. Discovered, Ezra kills Stanley and puts him in an available coffin. However, Stanley is too long for it and Ezra shortens him. After the interment, Ezra hears a knock at the door and discovers only Stanley's bandaged foot on the step. Later, another knock leads to Stanley's other foot. A third and final knock brings Ezra face to face with Stanley -- on crutches!

When he returns with a doctor, the doctor is surprised to see she has suffered few cuts but nonetheless is nearly dead from massive blood loss. Neither man is the correct blood type to give a transfusion, but a passing stranger with the correct type offers to do so. The woman recovers and disappears after which a spate of vampire attacks occur. Freddie suspects the "donor" to be a vampire and confronts and kills a vampire that turns out to be Jean, then is killed by the true vampire.

He is told by a resident that the new owner, Marcus Kingsley, doesn't supply heat to the tenants, so Gordon decides to visit him, finding a yellow-skinned man living in an air conditioned apartment. One day, the AC unit burns itself out and Kingsley demands its repair. But it can't be fixed for days. When Gordon approaches the Kingsley's apartment, he notices an oozing, decaying flesh flowing out from under the door!

With police on his heels he takes to an underground tunnel system that passes through the old graveyard. A coffin obstructs his path and he smashes an opening into it to reach inside and pry it out of the way. The corpse inside bites down hard on his hand causing him to bleed to death. As life fades, he notices the name plate on the coffin is the same one that he disposed of the body of his rival.

He accidentally gets locked in and survives nearly a month by catching leaking rain water and devouring the corpse, eventually succumbing to formaldehyde poisoning.

Six months later, Perdo, in disguise, returns to the town, but is discovered and runs into the cemetery to hide and into the mausoleum of one of his victims, where he comes face-to-face with the thing that had killed his victims: a giant tapeworm!

But the assistant double-crosses his master and later assumes the role of master illusionist, until Ventar returns from the grave for justice.

Later, when Dr. Manning suffers from a brain tumor, Dr. Jerome successfully uses psychosomatic medicine on him to save his life. However, a car accident leaves him dead for nearly three months, but also prevents Dr. Manning from decaying by post hypnotic suggestion until he hears the keyword 'Laurie'. When he hears this word, he instantly dissolves into a bag of putrescent slime.

They vowed to meet by the lake every five years to see if they can finally be together, but Roger is killed in a train wreck. Still, three years later, she visited the lake again, this time to be greeted by Roger's rotting corpse!
