Last issue of this series with the configuration of advertisement pages and “Gold Key Comics Club” pages (that is “non-story pages”) that had been in effect since the Gold Key Comics issues that were released in January, 1967. (In the case of the “Tom and Jerry” title, that would be issue #235.) Those issues limited such non-story pages to the four pages of the centerfold, and the final two interior pages (interior pages 31-32) for a total of SIX pages carved-out of each issue. Beginning with the next issue (“Tom and Jerry” #256), the number of non-story pages would be increased to SEVEN scattered throughout the issue, and would begin on interior page five. It would continue to increase throughout the 1970s.
Publication date matches the last three digits of the cover code (102 = February, 1971). On sale date (month and year) is derived from the issue code appearing in the bottom tier of page one (7012 = December, 1970).
